BIOGRAPHY
Toronto-based Natalia Laluque was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, where she is still highly respected as a versatile artist. Natalia earned her degree at Kyiv Technical University, specializing in graphic design. Working equally comfortably in paint ,print and clay, Laluque creates her art based on the beauty of everyday life. She says "the way we look at the world is a reflection of our inner self. One person can pass a beautiful garden and not notice it, and another person can find beauty in the most cluttered up corner." Natalia Laluque has received numerous awards and prizes. She is a member of the stART Collective of visual artists living in Toronto’s St. Clair West area. Featured in such publications as Ceramics: Art & Perception (Australia), La Ceramique Moderne (France), Volkstimme (Germany), the Ukrainian Weekly (the USA), the Canadian Immigrant (Canada) and ELLE Ukraine.
